These are the general rules for every contest, challenge, giveaway or promotion that Hunt runs. Each contest's specific rules are published with it, and apply together with these.
1. Who runs contests
Contests are run by Newtact Lab Private Limited (OPC) ("Hunt", "we", "us"). These rules add to our Terms of Service and, where points are involved, the Hunt Rewards Terms.
2. Each contest's own rules
Each contest is published with its own rules, which will state at least:
- what the contest is and how to take part;
- who can enter, and in which countries or states;
- when it opens and closes, with the time zone;
- how winners are chosen, by whom, and how ties are settled;
- the prizes, their number and approximate value;
- how and when winners are told, and how prizes are delivered.
If a contest's own rules conflict with these general rules, the contest's own rules apply to that contest, except that they cannot remove sections 3 and 4.
3. Free entry and skill only
- Every contest is free to enter. You never have to pay, buy anything or use points to enter.
- Winners are chosen by skill or merit, such as the best answer, idea, photo or score in a free game, judged against criteria published in the contest's rules. Or every entrant who meets a stated goal gets the same reward.
- We do not run lotteries, lucky draws or games of chance, and no contest depends on luck.
- No contest involves betting, wagering or an online money game.
4. Who can enter
- Entrants must be 18 or older, live in India unless the contest's rules say otherwise, and have a Hunt account in good standing.
- One entry per person, unless the contest's rules allow more.
- Our employees, their close family, and anyone involved in running the contest cannot enter, unless the contest's rules say otherwise.
- Contests are void where the law forbids them. Some contests may exclude states where a law makes them unsuitable.
5. Entries
- Your entry must be your own work and must not break anyone's rights, the law or the rules in section 13 of our Terms of Service.
- By entering, you give us a free, non-exclusive licence to use your entry to run the contest and, if the contest's rules say so, to show it in Hunt and our marketing, with your name or username. You keep ownership of your entry.
- We may disqualify entries that are late, incomplete, automated, made with fake or multiple accounts, or that break these rules.
6. Winners and prizes
- We will contact winners through their Hunt account, email or phone. If a winner does not reply within the time in the contest's rules, we may choose another winner.
- We may ask winners to prove their identity, age and eligibility before giving a prize. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your PAN and deduct tax at source before giving a prize.
- Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred, unless the contest's rules say so. If a prize becomes unavailable, we may give one of similar or greater value.
- Prizes in points follow the Hunt Rewards Terms. Points have no cash value.
- You are responsible for any tax on a prize, except tax we must deduct.
7. Fair play
We may disqualify anyone who cheats, uses bots or multiple accounts, interferes with the contest, or acts unfairly towards other entrants. Our decisions about winners are final, but you can still raise a complaint through the Grievance Redressal page.
8. Changes and cancellation
We may change, pause or cancel a contest if something outside our reasonable control affects it, such as fraud, a technical failure or a change in the law. We will tell entrants, and where fair, choose winners from valid entries received before the change.
9. Your data
We use your entry and contact details only to run the contest, deliver prizes, meet legal duties and, if you agree, announce winners. See our Privacy Policy.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost or late entries, technical failures, or losses from taking part, except where caused by our negligence. Our liability is limited as set out in our Terms of Service.
11. Law and contact
These rules are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, India have jurisdiction. Questions: hello@huntbrowser.com.
